Residential areas
haut-sartoux
The first neighbourhood built in the technology park, Haut-Sartoux is a true reflection of a traditional Alpes-Maritimes village, with low-rise houses and flowery lanes. Located in a natural setting, the neighbourhood boasts a number of restaurants and cafés in the well-known Place Bermond square, and is also home to the Centre International de Valbonne (CIV), a prestigious school complex.
garbejaire
Built to meet the growing need for worker housing in the technology park, Garbejaire was named after the woods in which it is located. This residential neighbourhood features many local public services such as a primary school, and there is always something going on, such as the weekly market, held in Place Méjane every Tuesday. The Sophia Antipolis Park Residents Association organises many cultural events throughout the year for all ages (chess, painting, language lessons, homework help, etc.) The media library also offers free access. 2,000 m² of available work space, including a conference room and screens for showing films, etc.
Saint-Philippe
This neighbourhood has around twenty shops, including a supermarket, bakery, dry- cleaner’s, hairdresser’s, etc It is also a meeting place for local people at lunchtime, thanks to the many restaurants and brasseries in the centre.

The historic heart of Sophia Antipolis, Place Sophie Laffitte is an essential location for all Sophia Antipolis locals, with a number of shops and restaurants.

Heritage discovery
There is a very strong sense of sport culture in Sophia Antipolis, supported by the natural environment and mild climate. Many sports facilities can be accessed on foot via one of the many trails criss-crossing the technology park. These amenities include tennis courts, golf courses, padel courts, swimming pools, a climbing gym, cycle paths, hiking and running trails, etc.
A green belt to explore
The technology park boasts considerable natural heritage and two forest parks. The Valmasque on the one hand, with its 561 hectares, is well-known for its many trails. Its design characteristics, including a fitness trail, Roman remains and a lake with blooming lotus flowers, make this park one of the most visited sites in the area. . On the other hand, the Brague park is brimming with plant species and features a 9 km hiking trail along the river, in a wild and natural forest setting.
Sports complexes
The technology park is also home to several sports complexes. These include the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, attracting stars of the sport, and the Nautipolis pool complex. The Valbonne Omnisport Club also proposes many indoor and outdoor sport activities.

A global reference in terms of innovation, the technology park is located in the heart of the French Riviera, nestled between sea and mountains, and is served by Nice airport — just 20 kilometres away — which is France’s 2ndlargest international airport. The 80 nationalities living in the area form a rich human landscape.

Antibes Congress Centre plays host to many cultural events. Don’t miss the next Children’s Book Fair, the Science and Innovation Village or any of the national and international conferences and congresses.
Just a few kilometres away, Anthéa Theatrehas grown in seven years to become the most prominent stage in the Sud Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Region.
Almost 120,000 theatre-goers come each year to enjoy a variety of performances and to see a number of popular entertainers.
Port vauban
Port Vauban in Antibes is Europe’s largest marina. The port is directly connected to the technology park thanks to the Vauban 21 project, which uses the port as a testing ground for Sophia Antipolis companies.
The Sophia Games
Sophia Club Entreprises have organised the Sophia Games each May and June for the last 25 years. This important and unifying event offers a multitude of activities to practice as part of a team. It is a sporting opportunity to discover or rediscover parts of the technology park in a fun and festive atmosphere. Don’t miss the 2022 Games!
Sophia Live Music
Each year, the Sophia Live Music festival, produced by Sophia Club Entreprises & Fish My Kiss, is held outdoors in the heart of Sophia Antipolis. This public event plays host to talented musicians from the technology park over 2 consecutive days.
