CYBER CAMPUS

Presentation

Cybersecurity

Sophia Antipolis, Europe’s leading technology park, is today a key centre of excellence in the field of cybersecurity.
With its unique ecosystem, the technopole brings together internationally renowned companies, innovative start-ups, research organisations, and academic institutions — all actively contributing to strengthening both French and European digital sovereignty.

Officially recognised as the territorial Cyber Campus for the Southern Region, Sophia Antipolis benefits from an exceptional momentum in data security, critical infrastructure protection, and cybersecurity innovation. This designation reflects the technopole’s commitment to structuring a local network of expert stakeholders around strategic projects and fostering the emergence of future-oriented digital security solutions.

The region is home to major players such as Fortinet, Orange Cyberdefense, Accenture, Squad, and Videtics, active in areas including IoT security, digital communications protection, transaction security, and industrial network defence. The ecosystem is further supported by specialised clusters like Aktantis, dedicated to deeptech and security innovation, as well as by Telecom Valley, which promotes collaboration between businesses, research laboratories, and higher education institutions.

Talent development is also a cornerstone of Sophia Antipolis’ strategy. Institutions such as EURECOM, Mines Paris-PSL, SKEMA, the Data ScienceTech Institute (DSTI), Ynov Campus, Simplon, École 42, Polytech Nice Sophia, aivancity, and Université Côte d’Azur offer specialised programmes designed to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity experts. This educational offering directly enhances the technopole’s appeal by building a highly qualified local talent pool.

Thanks to this synergy between innovation, education, research, and entrepreneurship, Sophia Antipolis reinforces its strategic position on the national and European cybersecurity landscape. With the support of its ecosystem and the influence of the territorial Cyber Campus, the technopole continues to drive strong momentum towards a safer, more resilient, and more innovative digital future.
