THE INNOVATION CLUSTER
ASSISTING INNOVATIVE COMPANIES
As part of its policy to develop support tools for creating innovating companies and to reinforce the competitivity of the technology park, Sophia Antipolis Urban Community has undertaken a showcase initiative, supporting innovation worthy of the territory, its ecosystem and challenges.
This symbolic location will focus on high potential innovation objectives (artificial intelligence, intelligent vehicles, sustainable development, energy performance of buildings, traveltech, etc.) and will place an onus on incubation, accommodation, developing start-ups and key accounts, and collaborative working spaces, event spaces and demonstrators (marketing issues and global reach).

INNOVATION MODEL
From a more cross-cutting viewpoint, the future innovation hub will embody a new model area of competition and innovation, rising to the challenges of Europe’s largest technology park and its digital heritage. This structure is designed as a true living area with open and modular working zones, facilitating collaborative work, skill exchange, partnerships, synergies, open innovation and more. It will also help to facilitate and federate the development of territorial sectors.
SPATIAL ORGANISATION
The property complex, including AI House, centred around public spaces and shared facilities, (in particular transport services with a stop of the High-Quality Service Bus), represents a total built area of approximately 9,000 m².
It will be divided into open reception and common areas, encouraging discussion and collaborations between economic players on the one hand, and offer relaxation, dining, user-friendly areas and events spaces on the other.
A showcase will present and promote Sophia Antipolis’ technological activities; spaces will be reserved for clusters, associations and competitiveness hubs and finally, an area will be earmarked for accommodating start-ups and companies.
